Teaching Practice

Of the 3 lessons I learnt during WIL, the first began long before I reached school. For us late sleepers, the thought of rising before the sun is not exactly a pleasant one. But after 5 weeks of sunrise drives, I’ve learnt to love the early morning beauty and freshness. It was after the first 2 weeks or so, that I learnt my second lesson. It took first-hand experience for me to learn it, but now I know the importance of setting clear foundations and being consistent.  The last thing I learnt, was the meaning of the phrase ‘heart work’ – Teaching is hard work, but if done from the heart, it's worth it!
